Dermaplaning

Mar 14, 2022

Dermaplaning, also known as Epidermal Levelling, is a deep physical exfoliant used to slough off built-up dead skin cells and other debris on the skin surface, allowing for better product absorption into the follicles. Dermaplaning removes 21 to 28 days worth of buildup on the skin using a medical-grade blade.

What are the key benefits of dermaplaning?

safe for everyone with little to no contraindications
almost immediately reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
can be a great primer for other treatments such as IPL, laser, and chemical peels to penetrate deeper into the skin
reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation
requires no downtime
removes the vellus “peach fuzz” hair from the skin, which in turn aids in the prevention of acne because bacteria can cling to the hair
smooths the skin for flawless makeup application

What can I expect for downtime?

Minimal to zero downtime. Your skin may appear flush for an hour or so post-treatment but you can apply make-up if needed immediately post-treatment.

How long is the procedure?

Dermaplaning takes approx 20-30 minutes but we include an enzyme peel and masque with treatment, extending the time to 50 mins. Dermaplaning can be added to medical facials, more intense peels, PRP Facial, Injectables, and micro needling for an extra cost.
